Abstract

This article analyzes modern compositional and color solutions used in the process of creating still life compositions in watercolor painting from both scientific and artistic perspectives. The still life genre occupies an important place in the history of fine arts, allowing the artist to express the form of objects, harmony of colors, and the relationship between light and shadow. The watercolor technique, with its transparency, subtle color harmony, and expressive possibilities, has a special aesthetic impact in depicting still life. The article widely discusses issues such as compositional balance, rhythm, color contrast, color harmony, spatial solutions, light-shadow relationships, and modern artistic interpretation in creating watercolor still lifes. In addition, the importance of developing a creative approach in the process of creating watercolor still life compositions in art education, shaping color thinking, and developing students’ aesthetic taste is substantiated.
