Abstract

The article analyzes the dynamics of value added created in agricultural entrepreneurship in the Republic of Uzbekistan and its regional dimension on the example of Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions for 2010-2025. It is revealed that over fifteen years the value added in the agricultural sector increased 14.4 times both at the national and regional levels, with an average annual growth rate of about 19.5 percent, while the regional shares remained stable (9.8 and 8.0 percent respectively). The theoretical basis of the study includes the works of foreign scholars (S.Kuznets, W.A.Lewis, B.F.Johnston and J.W.Mellor, C.P.Timmer, M.E.Porter, G.Gereffi). The channels of value added growth - intensification, diversification, development of processing and agro-clusters - are substantiated, and recommendations for deepening value chains in the regions are proposed.
