Abstract

This article describes the actions that the population should take when there is a threat of an emergency situation and when it occurs. The concept of an emergency, its main types, and the procedures for proper behavior during the stages of warning, protection, and elimination of consequences are explained. In addition, the importance of public preparedness, civic responsibility, and rapid decision-making skills is substantiated.
